Today members of the Proctor Dealerships attended the Greater Tallahassee Area Chamber of Commerce "Business Nuts & Bolts" early morning networking event. These events consist of a networking business card exchange, guest speaker, recognition for new members and attendees, as well as a great breakfast - which was catered by Andrew's.
Gary Rogers, a business management consultant from Pensacola, Florida, was the guest speaker today and spoke about understanding the culture you are working with. During his presentation he opened up the room to discuss topics such as Kohl's Iceberg theory in relation to different cultures, corporate culture, challenges with working around the world, cultural dimensions and variables. The presentation captivated the entire room and we all walked away with more open minds and a better understanding of the way culture impacts the business world.
During the networking portion of the event we were able to establish some great connections. Everyone in the group was especially grateful to be able to connect with state marketing representatives from this morning's program sponsor, Verizon Wireless. Verizon proved to be a great sponsor within the Business Nuts & Bolts series by demonstrating how the latest Verizon technology, the 4G experience, can better any business.
