The Top 5 Reasons to Drive a Subaru Forester

Subaru is becoming increasingly popular in Tallahassee and surrounding areas, but many people aren't as familiar with this brand of vehicle. For people that are looking to find a compact SUV, the Subaru Forester should be a strong contender. Here are the top 5 reasons to drive a Subaru Forester:

1.) The Recognition: The Subaru Forester has been recognized on a nationwide level by different organizations. The 2011 Forester was a "IIHS Top Safety Pick" and earned top ratings in all four of the institute's tests (offset frontal, side, rear impact and roof strength). Additionally, the vehicle offers electronic stability control, adding to its safety features. The organization "ALG" awarded the 2011 Forester with the Residual Value Award for best compact utility vehicle, stating that the Forester was "the most award winning small SUV since 1997". POLK also recognized Subaru, noting that 96% of Subaru vehicles built in the last 10 years are still on the road.

2.) Interior Features: The Forester is spacious and known for having a comfortable cabin area. The Forester has a large rear hatch and cargo area, under floor rear cargo area storage, 60/40 split fold-down rear seats, 6 airbags and rollover sensor standard and much more. If you like all of the car gadgets available now, you have the option to upgrade your Forester to include more functionality such as Bluetooth and a GPS system.

3.) The Exterior Design: Traditionally when people think of a Subaru, they think of a box shaped type of car, but the times have changed. The current Forester is a third generation, and it is no longer considered a "tall wagon". The exterior look is now sporty and sleek, and the Forester is available in eye catching colors such as Marine Blue Pearl, Satin White Pearl, Spark Silver, Steel Silver, Sage Green and more.

4.) Performance: The Subaru Forester is known for its high performance, and historically Foresters have handled better than the average SUV. These Foresters are AWD and new and used Foresters have a strong reputation for easy maneuverability, sure-footed handling and in slippery weather and strong build quality. The horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine in the 2.5X models produce 170 horsepower and 174 pound feet of torque,  XT turbocharged models are also available. The Forester averages 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Performance for this SUV is great

5.) The Price: The Subaru Forester is priced to sell with models starting as low as around $20,500, but is still equipped with full power accessories, cruise control, air conditioning and a trip computer. As the vehicles move up in luxury the price also goes up, but the highest luxury model - the 2.5XT Touring - still is reasonably priced around $30K. Most other vehicles in comparison are more expensive, but with the Forester you can pay less and still get the bang for your buck.

If you are looking for a new SUV, I strongly urge you to try out the Subaru Forester! If you are interested in learning more about a Forester or setting an appointment to look at one just contact us at Proctor Subaru or comment below.

Though Subaru is quite expensive, yet I still love this car due to its awesome performance. I experienced remodeling Subaru autos and placing creative digital vehicle covers in to them. Subaru Forester is also great in off-road travel.
